One Of My Favorite Summer Jams: Let me start by saying I liked Phantom Planet’s “California” way before it blew up as the theme to the O.C., I think I first heard it on soundtrack to Orange County. The song is about driving up California’s route 101 to see a concert which reminds me of summer fun, road trips and it puts me in a good mood.

I never knew there was a video for the song but I found it while surfing MTVmusic.com. The video kicks ass because it was shot when Jason Schwartzman was still the drummer for Phantom Planet. Schwartzman is a great actor, check him out this summer in Judd Apatow’s Funny People - his role in Slackers as Cool Ethan is way underrated.

Mets' Citi Field Opening, Heidi Watney Is Hot

Last night I went to the opening of the Mets new stadium Citi Field. It was an excibition game vs the Red Sox and our seats were amazing, a couple rows behind the Sox dugout.

The Red sox sportscaster Heidi Watney was at the game, sitting just a few rows in front of us on field level covering the game for NESN. Back in September we named Heidi #5 on our list of The Definitive 25 Sexiest Sportscasters in the World. After seeing her in person I’m willing to bet she will be in the top three this year.

The new stadium is sick and I took a ton of pictures (added a few below), check our all the pictures here!

New trailer for The Hangover starring a crew of hilarious actors including Bradley Cooper from Wedding Crashers and Zach Galifianakis…Mike Tyson even makes a cameo.

Plot: A Las Vegas-set comedy centered around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures, then must retrace their steps in order to find him.

Check it out in theaters June 5th.

New York City Screening of Fast and Furious

Tomorrow I will be attending the New York City screening of Fast and Furious at the 84th street Lowes.

The original cast of Fast and Furious is back, check out the trailer below. I’ve read a few early reviews and everyone is saying the movie is a must see.

If anyone wants to go the screening let me know, I should have some extra tickets available. Contact me and I’ll give you more information.

Throwback Pictures: 3 Days in South Beach For MTV VMA's

In 2004 MTV decided to move the VMA’s from it’s longtime home in New York City to Miami. Since my friends and I had been to the the show the previous two years we figured we’d take a long weekend and head down to South Beach for the event - it ended up being one of the best decisions of my life.

Here are some highlights…

We went to a handful of great parties: Usher’s VMA post party where we took over Usher’s pool side cabana when he left for the night, the Billboard Magazine party which had this crazy ice bar and picked up a ton of free celebrity swag at the Style Villa.
We had some celebrity encounters. I asked Xzibit to to pimp my life, ripped shots with Jimmy Fallon, sat with Good Charlotte and their crew at the award show itself and drank a Budweiser with Tony Hawk and Johnny Knoxville.
Probably my favorite part of the weekend was running into our Morristown neighbor Robert Randolph a few times. He’s a cool guy, loves drinking brews and will be going out on tour with Dave Matthews Band this summer so pick up tickets.

Remember The "Call On Me" Aerobics Video?

Last night I was at McSwiggans in Hoboken and they played Eric Prydz’s 2004 dance song “Call On Me.” The first thing that came to mind was the ultra sexy music video.

The music video for “Call On Me” took the internet by storm in 2004. Because of it’s sexually suggestive nature many called for the video to be banned but this uproar only gave it publicity and expanded the awareness.

In 2005 Ex-UK Prime Minister Tony Blair commented on the video saying, “The first time it came on, I nearly fell off my rowing machine.”

Now five years later let’s re-visit the “Call On Me” music video and all it’s glory!

Get Some 9five Shades For Summer

Mike Metcalf from 9five eyewear was nice enough to send me a few pairs (picture) from the 9five Eyewear Spring/Summer 2009 collection so I would be stuntin’ during the upcoming warm months.

The sunglasses are sick and I’m looking forward showing them off this summer. 9five put together a dope promo video for the line so I included it at the bottom, it’s worth watching so you can get a real look at what the shades are all about.

We featured the glasses on COED this afternoon so make sure you get your hands on a pair before the word gets out.

My Three Days in London

The UK board of tourism wants more U.S. college students to visit the UK on vacation and since COED kicks a— in the college market they gave me a free trip to drum up some publicity. Part one of the trip consisted of a road trip to St. David, Wales (photos coming soon) and part two consisted of three days of exploring London - I took a ton of pictures, check them out!

If you have only three days in London here is what you need to accomplish, buy some good shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking.

Three Walking Tours

Historical walking tour: Start at Buckingham Palace, walk east down The Mall and through St. James Park to Trafalgar Square. At Trafalgar Square you’ll see the National Gallery art museum (look around for 45 minutes). Then walk south down Whitehall St. You’ll pass Banqueting House, 10 Downing Street and end up at Parliament Square (House of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey) which is the heart of London -if not all of England.

Commercial walking tour: Start by taking the “Tube” to Piccadilly Circus, check out Regent Street directly to the west as well. Walk east down Coventry Street to Leicester Square. In the vacinity of Leicester Square is China Town and Soho keep going east to Covent Garden. In Covent Garden you’ll find good food, the Royal Opera House, the Covent Garden outdoor shopping mall. If you’re looking to party at night Covent Garden is the spot to be.

The Views walking tour: Start St. Paul’s tube station. Go in St Paul’s Cathedral then walk south across the Millennium Bridge, you’ll end up at the Tate Modern(check out Tate for 45 minutes - it’s free, good looking babes and unique modern art). After the Tate walk south-west along the River Thames on the “Bankside” footpath. Along the the South Bank you’ll see the small art galleries, outdoor flea markets, street performers and end up at the Southbank Centre home of the London Eye, Dali museum and Westminster Bridge.

View from the midway point of the Millennium Bridge - Directly to the north will be St. Davids Cathedral, directly to the south with be the Tate Modern and the East will be the Tower Bridge.

Places to Avoid

Kensington- It’s overrated. People are douchy and unless you are with your girlfriend and she is a Victoria Beckham wannabe avoid Kensington at all costs.
Queen’s Jewel Tower: f—kin tourist trap. I was expecting $1 billion in diamonds and gold and there is nothing, just a 600 year old tower that hasn’t held any riches in over 400 years.

Count Chocula's Halloween Adventure

I’ve I’ve been slowly transfering all my Facebook, Webshots and Myspace pictures to Flickr. It’s a pretty drawn out process, yesterday I did Nasty Nate’s Surprise Birthday Party and Hoboken St. Patrick’s Day, tonight I went through another collection, Halloween 2008.

The official theme to Halloween 2008 was “Count Chocula’s Halloween Adventure.” We had a booze cruise around Manhattan the weekend before Halloween then went to the NYC parade a week later for Halloween night.

On February 9, 2009 I made my way to Ed Sullivan Theater on 53rd street with one goal in mind, find out who was going to be on the cover of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue before anyone else. Late Night with David Letterman films at Ed Sullivan theater and he was scheduled to reveal the cover to the studio audiance during his 4:00 pm taping. Long story short I got the information, not going to say exactly how I got it but I did and the rest is history.
